Kirtan Shrestha

Kirtan Shrestha is a lifelong cricket enthusiast with over 30 years of involvement in the game, including playing experience at the club and college levels. Actively engaged in promoting cricket within the Nepali community in Canada for more than a decade, he is a founding board member of the Scarborough Nepali Cricket Club (SNCC).

With nearly 20 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, Kirtan has led initiatives focused on youth mentorship, inclusive programming, and leadership development. This experience has been instrumental in helping SNCC foster a welcoming, inclusive environment where players of all ages and skill levels can learn, compete, and grow to reach a higher level of game.

A certified ICC Level 1 cricket coach, Kirtan is committed to continuous learning through the Coaching Association of Canada. Known for his strategic mindset and dedication to grassroots development, he continues to guide the club with a strong emphasis on equity, inclusivity, integrity, sportsmanship, and long-term sustainability.

Outside of cricket, Kirtan is a licensed insurance agent who supports families by helping them understand their insurance and investment needs, empowering them to plan for a secure future.
